We have just got back from a fancy dress party! I put together costumes for the children this morning...
Emily's was inspired by a ladybird headband I saw in a shop yesterday. I dressed her in a red spotted top and red trousers and thought some ladybird wings would complete the outfit. I used some red fleece, black fabric, and wadding that I had left over from previous projects and cut out the shapes....
and sewed it all up...
Here they are in action at the party:
Robert chose to be a spider so I bought a couple of pairs of brown tights yesterday (Emily sized so she can wear them after...) and stuffed them with more wadding...
and threaded them over a belt around Robert's waist and dressed him all in brown:
Quick, cheap yet pretty effective outfits! The children all had a great time.
