There is a free little ferry that takes you across from the pier next to the Aberdeen Marina Club, or the pier next to the Aberdeen Fish Market:
There are three restaurants on the large barge that floats in the centre of the harbour - a traditional Chinese restaurant, a dim sum restaurant, and we went to the 'Top Deck' which does a lovely international buffet at weekends. The children also enjoyed wandering around the seafood barge which is moored alongside behind it to see the fresh fish and shellfish waiting for their turn...
