After drawing up a pattern and cutting out the fabrics (see earlier post) I attached snaps to the wings of the bamboo velour, using a patch of fleece inside to reinforce the fabric. I then cut a slit near the top of the fleece inner fabric and sewed a fleece patch to the lower edge to cover over the gap, to create the opening into which the absorbent inserts will go:



I then sewed together the inner and outer pieces right sides together and zigzag sewed the elastic to the top and sides. I then turned it all the right way out through the slit in the fleece, then topstiched all the way around:



I then attached the front snaps, and stuffed an absorbent booster inside the pocket opening. Here are finished pictures of the inside and the outside:



I have a few other nappy ideas so I'm sure there will be more nappy experiments to come...
