up the hills surrounding the city,
with Tapei 101 in the distance,
via a couple of hill stops, to Maokong at the top with some pretty spectacular views along the way.
The boys are looking nervous with good reason, the gondola has only just reopened after a 2 year closure to repair and reinforce the structure after a mudslide washed away the hillside underneath one of the supporting pillars leaving it dangling in mid air! As well as fixing the problem they have also upgraded it, including the addition of a glass bottomed cabin if you are feeling particularly brave. We weren't!
