National Palace Museum and Big Wheel

The National Palace Museum has a reputation for being in the top three museums in the world so we felt we should have a look whilst we were here. Photography isn't allowed but I didn't realise until after I had snapped this one pic of my son peering out from behind an ancient pot:

The most famous exhibit is a life-sized Bokchoy cabbage carved out of Jadeite.  The closest I could get to a pic was in the children's area where photography is permitted:

The kids enjoyed exploring this interactive area with drums to play, puppets to move, puzzles to do, buttons to press and space to generally run about!

Afterwards we took the free shuttle bus from the museum to the Miramar Rooftop Ferris wheel with it's spectacular views over the city, with Taipei 101 prominent as ever:

The children posed for the obligatory photo opportunity...

...before we headed straight for the airport and back home to Hong Kong.
