Our son is fascinated by rockets and space at the moment and was excited to discover that Taipei has a Space Museum. We had an enjoyable afternoon exploring it today. The first three floors house traditional space related exhibits with planets, spacecraft, and astronauts...
as well as some spectacular photography...
but what we discovered on the fourth floor was totally unexpected...
called the Cosmic Adventure it is a theme park style ride in individual pods winding their way through space on a mission dodging aliens on the way. The kids loved it! If you are planning a visit beware it does close earlier than the rest of the museum and costs a little extra, we almost missed it! There is also a 3D cinema which we didn't visit as the kids are a little young, but the playground in the park outside was a big hit with them!
