This undercover area largely housed food stalls...

but there was a small area at the back with various ride on activities for children...

and a few souvenir stalls

It took me a while and a closer look to figure out what these were...

...face masks to wear when you have a cold to avoid coughing and sneezing your germs onto anyone else, lovingly handmade in a variety of fabrics. (Yes, I did buy one!) Across the road was another undercover area with more fair style games - throwing hoops to win prizes sort of thing...

and a large area with numerous stalls selling dog accessories, and to my shock, row upon row of puppies and kittens packed together in glass cages.

Behind this area is an open street market selling the more typical market merchandise - clothes, watches, souvenirs etc

Taiwan is apparently famous for its fresh fruit and we certainly saw plenty of fruit stalls here too...

It was a really interesting experience for all of us with lots of unusual smells, noises, lights, and sights.
